Round Nine: bored of ale
There's only so much ale you can drink so we plumped for 3 bottles of Belgian beer for £15.50. Ale is good. But Belgian beer is worth the extra money!

Saltaire Triple Chocolate Stout The coffee and the chocolate stout are evil. The Batemans gets a lot of credit but only because it is surrounded by evil. !

Round Seven: 21 ales in 2 1/2 hours. Scared! Holdens Golden Glow
Houston Peter's Well
Nethergate Umbel Ale Holdens. Nice
Houston. Not so nice. bland
Nethergate. Best of the three Not a good round though. The weaker they get the less interesting they are.

Round Six: Crouch Vale Amarillo
Hopshackle Hoptane
Potton Potton Porter 18 ale. 2 hours. Not bad! Amarillo we've had in bottles. Much better on draft. Sweet, honey. Not bad Hopshackle. Hmm like this a lot. Easy to drink. Tasty. Not too chewy Potton Porter. Just a porter nothing special. Doesn't stand out.

Oakham Atilla
Thornbridge Kipling These are among the strongest ales here at 7.0%, 7.5% Thornbridge is hoppy but not too much. Very nice. Oakham is strong and you know it. You can't drink this too much. Like weak wine. Nice too. But only one. Hopshackle is really nice. Sweet. But doesn't seem strong. So dangerous. A nice ale. 15 ales. This time last year we were bored. We are enjoying it this year. This is our best round yet.

Bartrams Comrade Bill
Red Squirrel London Porter They are all excellent stouts. The Acorn is very cocoa/coffee. The Bartrams is amazing. The Red Squirrel is also good. Bartrams is the best. We all agree.

Son of Sid Chequered Past and Present
Otley Oxy-moron Beartown isn't too overpowering. But you have to like ginger. Especially good after a pickled onion. Otley is awesome. We all love it. Son of Sid. Bland. Doesn't touch the ankles of the Otley.

So. It's 12:30. First three ales are: Nethergate Augustinian
Tryst Raj IPA
Dark Star Revelation Dark Star is awesome. Nethergate is always awesome. Tryst is very hoppy. But they are all good. Tony prefers the Nethergate. Mark and Brad prefer the Dark Star.

Booze on the Ouse 2012
Booze on the Ouse 2012 is fast approaching.
On Friday 16th March Brad, Mark and myself will be off to St Neots for the fourth year in a row.
We've not seen an advanced beer list this year (as we've all been way to busy) so we hope it is as good as last year if not better.
Obligatory picnic has already been prepared !
